Schilling Beer Co. – Our Mutual Friend:
Heller Bock
A less common variation on the more ubiquitous Maibock lager, this is a strong pale lager with Bavarian roots, meant for the North Country’s summer-to-fall transition. Aromas of soft grains, vanilla, honey and hints of floral spice are present. Flavors showcase bready malts with honey. Alcohol sits on the edges, and it finishes somewhat hoppy with black pepper spice and gentle citrus. Prost!
